5 Best Triathlon Training Groups in San Diego

Known for its welcoming crowd and active lifestyle, it makes sense that San Diego is packed with droves of great triathlon groups! Closely related to our last post on the best triathlon training locations, we have put together our top 5 training groups in San Diego. Whether you're visiting the area or moving here, these are great groups to get in a great workout and meet new people!

1. Friday First Light Swim at La Jolla Cove with Tri Club San Diego

This happy crowd of swimmers and triathletes gather at 6.30 AM at the Cove every Friday throughout the year. Distances vary from 1/4 to 3 miles at varying paces down to 20 min/mile, and buoys are out in the summer. It's our favourite workout group, because the exuberance you feel following this exhilarating swim and breakfast at Pannikin in La Jolla will last well into your weekend.
